Removing Toilet Paper From Trees With Fire?

When removing toilet paper from trees NEVER set it on fire!  Another word of advice is don’t let it get wet if possible because it will be MUCH harder to remove!  If you use your garden hose, it will only get it wet and turn it into a sloppy paste that will stick to tree branches and anything else that it dries on.  Also, don’t just grab it and pull it down either because it will just break off somewhere out of your reach.

A simple method of removing toilet paper from trees

Usually we suggest using long poles with duct tape wrapped around them (Sticky Side Out) that way it will “grip” the toilet paper so you can pull it down.   Sometimes it’s best to allow the toilet paper to wrap around the duct tape first, then pull it down.  If you attempt this, stay away from power lines!  Electricity can literally jump from the high voltage lines to a metal or wooden pole if you get too close!

If that doesn’t work, then the final fallback method is to use a pressure washer..  I know, that I suggested not using water, but these are desperate times if you want to get it down safely without trying to climb the tree!  Once again, if you attempt this, stay away from power lines!  If you thought it was dangerous with wood and metal poles, it’s really nasty with high pressured streams of water! Removing eggs from cars safely

The first thing you should when removing eggs from cars is to immediately rinse the egg spots from your car with your garden hose.  If the egg is new, this might be the only thing you have to do if your lucky.  By hosing it down quickly, the eggs won’t have time to adhere to the finish.

If that doesn’t work, or if the eggs have already dried, remove as many pieces of eggshell as you can with your hands before you try to remove the egg itself with detergents.  That way you can avoid having tiny pieces of eggshell stuck to your sponge which might scratch the paint on your car.

Next, fill a bucket with warm water and some laundry detergent.  Use 1/4 cup of laundry detergent for every 1 gallon of water.  Wet down the area, then splash the laundry detergent on the area and let it sit on the surface.  Soak some old rags or soft cloths in the water and detergent mixture and place them over the egged areas of your car.  Let them sit for 10 to 15 minutes to soften up dried matter.

Then try using your garden hose with a nozzle on it to wash the eggs from the car.  Most laundry detergents have enzymes that help remove greasy or food and protein-based stains, like eggs, and in most cases it will work on your car.

If necessary, remove the cloths from the car and try again using the same process, I did warn that removing eggs from cars wasn’t easy!   But relax, if just letting the cleaner dwell on the surface doesn’t work, then dip a clean, soft sponge in the soapy water.
