The national trade association for power washing contractors, encourages members to identify charitable opportunities in their own communities. To see pictures from last years project watch the video here!

The contractor members of PWNA will be applying their trade for the betterment of their own communities all over the country this summer as the second annual Clean Across America Campaign gets into high gear. The campaign, introduced last summer, is intended to raise awareness of PWNA and its members, and to give them a way to give back to the communities that have helped them grow their businesses. All pressure-washing services are donated by the individual contractors during this event, scheduled over several days in July. Target projects include community centers, senior facilities, homeless centers, and similar venues.

How it started
"After 15 years in the cleaning business, I wanted to do something positive for my community" states Henry Bockman, a Director of PWNA and the contractor who spearheaded the launch of this national effort last year. "When I proposed the concept to the other members last spring, the response was overwhelming. These are all hard working business owners who recognized that they could make a difference in their own backyards." The individual contractors select which projects each wants to get involved with. Some contractors prefer large, highly visible projects requiring lots of hours to complete but most participants opt for projects that can be completed in a single day. Members of the Media and community leaders who want to suggest their own favorite project(s) to be considered for this event are encouraged to contact PWNA to identify the nearest member-contractor. PWNA Headquarters can be reached at (703) 971- 4011 or found at www.pwna.org

This is an opportunity for the media to help their communities by getting involved and looking for people that can use our help. This can be done by announcing the program and asking people that need help to come forward. Spouses of military members over seas or homeless shelters and elderly care facilities that need to be cleaned anywhere in the country.
