This is just a basic list to help you, it does not cover everything you need to know.
1. In Maryland companies that perform deck sealing and staining are required to have a home improvement license. (MHIC#)
2. Make sure the company is bonded and insured.
3. Make sure the company has experiance and they can list references.
4. Make sure they have some type of wood restoration training like the PWNA wood certification.
5. Make sure they are members of industry organizations
6. Make sure they use less than 1,000 PSI and they do not use chlorine bleach on your deck.
